Kawamura International has released its latest version of XMAT (pronounced TransMAT), a cloud-based machine assisted translation platform. With this latest version, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and Amazon Nova are added. The following processes can be performed by these generative AI models in addition to translation.

  • Grammatical correction
Correcting grammatical errors and typographical errors in text automatically.

  • Summarizing
Summarizing long sentences or complex reports in a short time.

  • Copywriting
Generating taglines and content to use in your marketing and advertising material.

  • Press releases
Creating output in the form of press releases when necessary for announcing new products or services.

  • Unification of Japanese text
Converting Japanese text to either Keitai (desu/masu style) or Jotai (dearu style).

  • Executing your instructions
You can enter any instructions in free-form text.

Furthermore, a new AI post-editing function has been released. With the AI post-editing function, you can automatically correct and complement translated text by using generative AI. This will streamline the conventional post-editing (post correction of translation) work, reduce labor-hours, and improve the quality of translation.
